God has given each of us specific characteristics and traits for a purpose. I have heard this so many times but, when I really let it set in, things began to change. My introvertedness (which is not a word), caring heart, awkward nature, and story can only reach a certain group of people. It’s the same with all of your amazing traits. But that group that you have been equipped to reach needs YOU! It is so important for us to come together to do Christians main purpose…expand the kingdom of God. I cannot reach or encourage people like you can and vice versa. The world needs both of us to speak into it in our own unique way. If one person could reach all people in one way then God would not have created us all so unique. And everyone would have already heard of Jesus. But instead each of us have been given this amazing gift.
Comparison makes it about us but it is really about Him and expanding His kingdom. When I let this comparison creep in, I focus on how many views I got compared to her not how many people saw Jesus through both of us. If she shows Jesus to others with her unique voice and expands that kingdom, that should be celebrated! Imagine how many people will hear about Jesus. Isn’t that the point of all of this? But when we try to imitate or compare to each other we not only discourage ourselves but we rob someone else from hearing Jesus in a way unique to them.
One of the most beautiful things is that God works though each and every one of us. We are his vessels and need to be open to Him using us. We have each been put on this earth for a specific reason and purpose.
Every single trait or characteristic and the amount of the trait you have is on purpose to be able to do exactly what you are called to do. So embrace it and further His kingdom. Precious child of God, the world needs you. They need your unique story. Everything you have gone through is going to be used for good and can further the kingdom. Keep your focus on the bigger plan. And never forget you are so beautiful and loved!
