A solid morning routine can make even a Monday better! Over this past year, as I have been becoming healthier both inside and out, I have developed a routine that starts my day off right and fills my day with joy and truth. This routine seriously sets the tone for the rest of my day and has become one of my favorite parts of my day. If you don’t currently have an intentional morning routine, I hope this post can help you develop one. Happy Monday!
I try to wake up well before I have to go anywhere because I use the morning as ‘me’ time and to charge my introverted self up. So, almost every day I wake up a 6:00 a.m! A little tip to establishing a morning routine is to wake up the same time every day, no matter when you have to be out of the house. This helps your body to get into a rhythm.
Guys, if I am being honest, I go on my phone right after I wake up but I only allow 5 minutes of it. I check all my social medias and everything else. I have tried to cut this out so many times but I obviously haven’t succeeded. Make sure to follow my Instagram for amazing stories and encouragement!
As you might have known, I am reading through the Bible this year with my sister! If you didn’t know, make sure to check out this post. So next, I do my readings for the day which is honestly usually six chapters because I am currently behind a few days (I am still human). Spending time in the Word first thing starts the day off right and I can honestly tell a difference if I skip this part.
Bible time flows into quiet time which consists of prayer, Jesus Calling, and more time with Jesus! If you would like to see my full quiet time routine, check it out here.
Coffee and Breakfast
It is crazy that I make it this far without coffee but Jesus is better! But then I go and make breakfast (cereal or oatmeal) and drink some coffee (yay!). It is honestly that simple but I cannot skip breakfast!
Next, I get ready for the day. I am either going to work, the coffee shop to blog, or running errands and church, so I get all ready and head out the door!
I hope you enjoyed reading all the steps in my perfect morning! Having a routine has really changed the course of my day and prepares me for whatever comes. But don’t forget to give yourself grace.
